Hollywood Advice from Adam Sandler for Teenage Daughters
Sadie and Sunny, daughters of Adam and Jackie Sandler, are 18 and 15 years old respectively.
The legendary Hollywood star, known as dad by his two teenage daughters, is giving them a big warning.
On Tuesday, Adam Sandler's "Adam Sandler: Love You" premiered on Netflix, and Sandler advised Sadie, 18, and Sunny, 15, not to watch the special because of his use of foul language.
At the premiere of his comedy special, he admitted to E! News that he frequently uses profanity, expressing regret to many people, particularly his family, who may not appreciate hearing such words.
"I won't reveal too much to them too quickly. They won't be attending tonight, but they'll see me at the party after. I told them they didn't need to see this one."
The actor known for "Murder Mystery" has imparted some fatherly advice to his daughters regarding their acting careers.
In 2023, Sandler shared with People that his daughters voiced characters in his animated film "Leo." He also imparted some words of wisdom.
"Sandler advised the outlet to encourage people to feel good about their work and effort, and to avoid letting too many others influence their self-judgment. He emphasized the importance of giving it one's all and not being overly critical of oneself."
Jackie, Sandler's wife of over 20 years, also played a part in the animated film.
"Being with my family is always enjoyable," he stated. "It's what they're thinking about getting into and their passion, so it's great to learn with them."
"I tell them to make sure you feel good about what you do and how hard you worked, and you judge yourself. Don't let too many people try to get in your head. If you feel like you gave it your all, that's all you can ask." — Adam Sandler
The Sandler family appearing in another film together is not off the table.
"We had a great time at that bat mitzvah movie, and since we started doing this four years ago, they've grown up a bit. It's been really nice," he said to the outlet.
In August 2023, the Sandlers starred in Netflix's "You Are So Not Invited To My Bat Mitzvah" right before his youngest daughter's actual bat mitzvah, the film's director, Sammi Cohen, revealed to People that the movie was filmed before the actual bat mitzvah.
"Before we began filming, Sunny had her actual bat mitzvah. I attended the service and we performed the real-life bat mitzvah before leaving to shoot the movie. It was a memorable moment in our filmmaking journey."
