Guy Fieri had a conversation with his deceased father through a medium: "Goosebump city"
'Diners, Drive-ins and Dives' host claims he communicated with his father through a medium two days after his death.
To cope with the loss of his father, celebrity chef Guy Fieri sought spiritual guidance.
In an emotional interview, Fieri, 56, shared how challenging it was to deal with the loss of his father Jim, who passed away at the age of 81.
"During an appearance on "In Depth with Graham Bensinger," he stated, "A few days of 'I don't want to talk to anybody. I don't want to see anybody, just leave me alone,'" which left him feeling screwed up."
Fieri explained how his friend, despite being a spiritual medium, was ironically not well-acquainted with him. He said he didn't know her well but was able to help her in a time of need.
The medium recounted the conversation with Fieri, stating, "Your dad is relentlessly pursuing me regarding you… Your dad is fixated on you and wants you to be aware…"
The restauranteur stated that the medium was showing him things that no one in the world could understand.
Fieri exclaimed, "It's goosebump city what I'm telling you."
Jim, Fieri's dad, reached out two days after his death, despite the medium stating that spiritual communications usually take several days.
"Fieri stated, "She said, 'He's really hell-bent on getting in touch with you.' That helped.""
The "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives" host consulted a medium and subsequently changed his perspective on funeral arrangements for his deceased father.
"Karen is not full of crap. I trust her a lot. Despite saying I wouldn't do it, I ended up going for the cremation and taking him there. I just said, 'I don't want any part of this.'"
"Something changed, taking a whole different form... it was the weirdest... I was surprised about how I handled it," he said.
"Although I cried and felt regret, it was a different matter."
Fieri grew "10 times" closer to his mother after his father's death.
For over 50 years, Fieri's parents, Jim and Penny, were married.
In 2011, Fieri's sister, Morgan, passed away from metastatic melanoma, in addition to the family's loss.
