Expert: Kate Middleton and Prince William seek 'distraction' from cancer struggle.
Princess Charlotte accompanied Catherine, Princess of Wales, at her appearance at Wimbledon.
The royal couple is seeking refuge in their favorite activity to provide their family with a "much-needed break."
Kate Middleton triumphantly returned to Wimbledon on July 14, accompanied by her daughter, Princess Charlotte, and sister, Pippa Middleton, as she continues to battle cancer.
On the same day, Prince William and Prince George were present at the UEFA European Championship in Germany. The 42-year-old, who is the heir to the British throne, was seen embracing his 10-year-old son during the final match between England and Spain.
According to Chris Andersen, author of "The King," sports offer a much-needed distraction from the pressures of royal life and the health challenges faced by Kate and King Charles III.
"Helena Chard, a British broadcaster and photographer, shared with Planet Chronicle Digital that the Wales family prioritize their family's well-being above all else. They spend as much time as possible in nature and enjoy sports and games as a significant part of their joyful family life."
In January, Kate was hospitalized for unspecified abdominal surgery, and in March, she revealed in a video message that she has cancer and is undergoing chemotherapy.
Kate requested "time, space, and privacy" during her cancer treatment, which was discovered after a "major" surgery.
On June 15, the Princess of Wales was greeted by cheering crowds during her first public appearance at Trooping the Colour in London since her cancer diagnosis.

After taking a break due to his cancer diagnosis in early February, the 75-year-old king has been busy with public duties.
The royal family has always found unity through sports, and the Prince and Princess of Wales have been relying on this tradition for their children during their health struggles.
""The royals' involvement in sports is not an exaggeration, as it runs in their blood. They participate in a wide range of sports, with the exception of cage fighting, which may be a possibility for Prince Harry, but is otherwise limited," Andersen stated."
"William, a Windsor man, enjoys swimming, cricket, and rugby, in addition to his love for polo, skiing, sailing, riding, fishing, and hunting, which he shares with his family."
"Kate has always been known for her sporty nature, which attracted William to her and made her a good fit for the royal family. In high school, she excelled in hockey and tennis, and is also skilled in skiing, running, and sailing. Kate's enthusiasm and positive attitude set her apart from the rest of the royal family, as she always approaches challenges with a smile. Her athletic prowess is evident in everything she does."
While Kate has reduced her activities to concentrate on her cancer treatment, the kids have continued to be active. Kate and Charlotte, 9, have formed a bond over tennis, while William and George, 10, enjoy soccer together. Prince Louis, Andersen noted, has been playing tennis since he was four years old. The youngest of the Wales children is six.
"The family enjoys walks, cycle rides, and every sport," said Chard. "Princess Charlotte is allergic to horses and doesn't share her family's passion for them. However, the Prince and Princess of Wales are highly competitive and love to beat each other in every sport. This keeps their relationship alive and sports and laughter go hand-in-hand."
"Chard remarked, "It's delightful to observe them competing in all sports, particularly rowing. They exude energy, happiness, and passion. Their lively, animated personalities shine through. I've heard that Prince George is a skilled cricketer.""
""Princess Catherine enjoys playing beer pong, while Prince William is not as fond of it due to his nickname 'One-Pint Willy,'" Chard stated."
Ian Pelham Turner, a royal expert, stated to Planet Chronicle Digital that he is not surprised that the Prince and Princess of Wales are using sports to maintain the happiness of their children.
"Kate and William are both very competitive, and their love for sports has been a part of their growth. However, certain board games like Monopoly have been banned due to their tendency to become heated. As for the children, their sister, Kate, consistently tries to override big brother George in sports."
In June, Andersen revealed to Planet Chronicle Digital that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge aim to provide their children with as much normalcy as possible, free from the scrutiny of the media.
""Kate's athleticism drew William to her in the first place, and she has always been a part of the children's roughhousing and games. She is highly competitive and has always been involved in all their activities," said Andersen."
"Kate's side effects from chemo may make her participation in summer activities more intimidating, but she won't let it ruin the children's summer. Kate believes it's her responsibility to worry about her children and will keep them busy with typical summer activities like horseback riding, swimming, and sleepovers."
Kate is a total trooper, and this summer at Anmer Hall, she and Prince William will make it as close to business as usual as possible.
