Eminem's daughter admits that watching a music video left her in tears and feeling like she can't continue: "I don't think I can do it again."
Eminem's ex-wife, Kim Mathers, is now dating Hailie Jade, the 28-year-old daughter of the 'Lose Yourself' rapper.
Hailie Jade, Eminem's daughter, becomes emotional while listening to her father's music.
This weekend, the 28-year-old podcast host revealed that she refuses to rewatch the music video for his new song, "Somebody Save Me," or listen to his other track, "Temporary," on her "Just a Little Shady Podcast."
""I can't do it again. I definitely cried. Whenever I hear the songs, especially 'Temporary,' I audibly sobbed," she said."
The song "Somebody Save Me," performed by Jelly Roll, discusses Eminem's past struggles with addiction and includes footage of Hailie Jade as a child, along with apologies for any emotional pain he may have caused her.
Hailie Jade stated in her podcast that she feels emotional when thinking about how her parents did a great job raising her, but now, as an adult, she realizes how bad things were and it's scary to think about. She believes that's why she gets emotional so much. She added that the point of the song is to make people realize that things could have been different.
If you've lost an addict or loved one, I understand how you feel. The video is enjoyable, but it brings back memories of our younger days, including 'Mockingbird.' However, as I get older, I can't listen to those songs without crying. Still, it's enjoyable to see those clips, just not in that context.
In "Temporary," Eminem discusses his future and how he will support his daughter after his passing, encouraging her to move on and not cry, saying "you will get over me and move on/You can play me on repeat on a song/But don't you dare shed a tear, what'd I tell you?"

In April, the "Lose Yourself" rapper marked 16 years of sobriety and shared a photo of the chip on Instagram.
In 2007, he nearly died from an overdose of sleeping pills, which he later revealed to the New York Times was a daily intake of 20 pills during his addiction.
He acknowledged the contributions of Hailie Jade, Alaina Marie, Stevie Lane, Nathan, and his ex-wife Kim's sister and another relationship, all of whom he adopted, in helping him get sober.
He said, "I love them so much and they've helped me through so many things."
In 2018, Hailie Jade graduated from Michigan State University with a psychology degree, and this year she married her long-time boyfriend, Evan McClintock.
During the reception, Eminem danced with his daughter, and in her Instagram post about the event, she wrote that "So many happy tears were shed, laughs and smiles were had, and so much love was felt."
