Elvis Presley's Private Retreat: Priscilla Presley Reveals
Priscilla, just 14 years old, first met Elvis Presley, and they tied the knot in 1967.
Elvis Presley's private life is being revealed to fans by Priscilla Presley.
Where Elvis Presley would retreat when not performing was revealed by his former wife, who disclosed that he loved the tranquil islands of Hawaii.
Presley stated ahead of an event at the Hawaii Theatre Center that he would always go there to relax, first chill out, and then he felt much better in confronting what he had to do and finish up. This behavior shows in Vegas and other places as well, according to People via local news outlet KHON2.
"He gave it his all during his performance, so after that month of intense effort, he just needed to relax and not think about anything. Let's say he needed to appreciate life."
The "Hound Dog" crooner filmed three of his movies in Hawaii, including "Blue Hawaii," "Hawaiian Style," and "Girls! Girls! Girls!" Priscilla reportedly shared private wedding footage and clips of Elvis' personal career in film and on the television series "Dallas," according to the event's site.
At the "An Evening with Priscilla Presley" event, she discussed the difficulties of being married to Elvis, particularly managing his fame.
After explaining why she never remarried after Elvis, Priscilla's event occurred.
"The musician's ability to handle the situation was questioned by her, who shared her thoughts at the South Point Casino in Las Vegas, according to People. She revealed that she never wanted to marry after him and had no desire to do so."
She admitted in November 2023 that no one could ever match him.
Priscilla and her husband met when she was 14 years old, got married in 1967, and welcomed their daughter Lisa Marie nine months later. Despite this, they never had any additional children.
Priscilla revealed that Elvis felt guilty about not being around more when Lisa was younger due to his busy schedule, which led to their decision not to have more children.
"He felt that with his busy schedule and touring, he wasn't spending enough time to give much attention to having another child."
In January, Lisa Marie passed away at the age of 54 due to a small bowel obstruction.
Although Elvis filed for divorce on his 38th birthday in 1973, the couple remained close despite being separated by 1972.
