"The Detroit Police Department confirmed with Planet Chronicle Digital that an individual flew a drone into Comerica Park during a Green Day concert. The band was on stage at the time and was subsequently escorted off the stage."
The Green Day band members were seen running offstage during a concert, with lead singer Billie Joe Armstrong pausing and looking confused before joining them.
The band members were assisted off the stage by security who stood by the side.

Before being interrupted by an unauthorized drone overhead, Green Day sang "Welcome to Paradise" at the stadium.
The musicians were "back on stage performing" "moments" after the incident, according to Detroit police.
The FAA is now investigating the case involving an individual detained outside Comerica Park, according to Detroit police.
Green Day did not respond to Planet Chronicle Digital's request for comment.
The Green Day concert at Comerica Park seemed to have a packed house with around 42,000 fans in attendance.
The Saviors Tour is currently being undertaken by Green Day, with the band commencing its journey in Spain in May. They are now set to perform in major cities across the United States, including Detroit, Los Angeles and San Diego.
Green Day, apart from frontman Armstrong, comprises drummer Tré Cool, bassist Mike Dirnt, and guitarist Jason White.
The band formed in Rodeo, California, in 1987.
