Drew Barrymore will attempt to maintain physical distance on her talk show.
Drew Barrymore's interviews with Oprah Winfrey, Kamala Harris, and others on 'The Drew Barrymore Show' became viral.
For the new season of her talk show, Drew Barrymore is adopting a fresh perspective.
Drew Barrymore, the host of "The Drew Barrymore Show," revealed to Entertainment Tonight that she intends to provide her guests with more room during interviews.
Barrymore chuckled as he admitted, "Physical distance isn't my strong suit, but I'll give it a try."
I was alone in a studio during the pandemic, which was difficult for me. I prefer being around people.
Barrymore acknowledged that not everyone may enjoy it, but he apologized to those who didn't.
In the past, the talk show host has become famous for physically getting close to her guests during interviews.
All of Jennifer Garner, Kerry Washington, Paris Hilton, Jennifer Aniston, Adam Sandler, and Lionel Richie have been hugged or had Barrymore get on her knees and take their hands as she enthusiastically speaks with them.
In April, she met with Vice President Kamala Harris and held her hands, requesting her to be referred to as "Mamala of the country."

In December 2023, Oprah Winfrey interviewed Barrymore, who took a hands-on approach.
Winfrey tried to shift a little on the couch while she was held close and caressed on the arm by someone who took her hands.
At the time, Winfrey told TMZ that she enjoyed Barrymore's hands-on approach during the interview and found it comforting. She also praised Barrymore for staying true to herself and thought the actress was endearing. Winfrey joked that she now demands that her longtime partner, Stedman Graham, offer similar stroking sessions.
"Barrymore shared with ET that their goal is to always prioritize joy, laughter, and feeling good, which was something they had always wanted to achieve but never thought they would accomplish during a pandemic. However, they found it challenging to focus on the positive aspects of life during that time."
"The Drew Barrymore Show" debuted in December 2020 and was renewed for two seasons, extending its run until 2026.
The 49-year-old said, "We had many years of uncertainty, and it tastes even better because of it."
"Launching during a pandemic was not an evident course of action and posed a significant risk. However, it also presented opportunities. If we had not been presented with this unusual timing, we would not be where we are today."
