DA expects Justin Timberlake to accept a plea deal in his DWI case.
Justin Timberlake was charged with DWI by authorities following his June arrest.
It is anticipated that Justin Timberlake will reach an agreement with the Suffolk County District Attorney's office regarding his driving under the influence charge.
Officials at the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office expect Timberlake to enter a plea on Friday during a court hearing in Sag Harbor, as a judge has signed off on a deal to dismiss the DWI charge against him.
According to TMZ, Timberlake and prosecutors reportedly reached an agreement that reduced his original charge of driving while intoxicated to driving while ability impaired. The charge is considered a traffic violation and Timberlake is likely to pay a fine of between $300 to $500.
According to documents obtained by Planet Chronicle Digital, the arresting officer claimed that Timberlake "failed all standardized field sobriety tests" when he was pulled over by authorities on June 18.
According to the complaint, Timberlake had "bloodshot and glossy" eyes, a "strong odor of an alcoholic beverage was emanating from his breath," and he was "unable to divide attention." Additionally, the "Cry Me A River" singer exhibited "slowed speech" and was "unsteady afoot."

According to the documents, the pop star informed the arresting officer that he had one martini and was heading home with some friends. However, after being arrested and brought to an East Hampton police station, he declined to take a breath test, as stated in the court papers. The papers also indicated that his profession is "professional" and he is "self-employed."
The district attorney's office confirmed to Planet Chronicle Digital that Timberlake was originally charged with one count of driving while intoxicated, as well as citations for failure to keep right and failure to stop at a stop sign.
Ed Burke Jr., Timberlake's lawyer, asserted that the police committed "major mistakes" during the musician's June arrest.
"Burke stated in a Planet Chronicle Digital interview that the key point to understand in this case is that Justin was not under the influence and should not have been arrested for DWI. The police made several significant errors in this case, and the district attorney attempted to correct one of them in court. However, this is only one of the many mistakes made by the police. Sometimes, law enforcement officials make mistakes, and this case is just one such instance."
