Brooke Mueller claims she has been sober for 9 months following her involvement in the Matthew Perry investigation.
It is reported that Charlie Sheen's ex-wife encountered Perry in rehab.
In her first interview in 15 years, Brooke Mueller disclosed that she has been sober for nine months.
During an appearance on the "Hollywood Raw" podcast, Charlie Sheen's ex-wife revealed that her journey to sobriety had been challenging.
""In fact, most people at my level of addiction don't make it. I worked really hard and it has not been easy. I am sober now and I do work a program. I believe in the Twelve Steps," she added."
Mueller, who has twins with her ex-husband, stated that she has a "fantastic sober community" in Malibu and attends meetings.
""The Witchouse" star revealed that they have been sober for nine months."
Since she was 19 or 20, the actress has spent millions on rehab.
She remembered how she went to an insurance-only place last time, but they didn't cater to her needs. They didn't enable her, and they didn't care about who she could have been or anything like that.
"The experience was fantastic because it was real, raw, and woke me up. It truly did."
Mueller was questioned about Perry's October death, sources told People.
According to the outlet's sources, Mueller and Perry first met years ago before she married Sheen, and their friendship was reignited when they met again in rehab a few years ago.
According to a source close to the investigation into Perry's death, Mueller did not use ketamine herself but was contacted by police due to her friendship with the deceased.
At the start of August, the authorities made arrests related to Perry's death, including the actor's assistant.
According to court documents, Perry was killed by ketamine that was allegedly provided by Jasveen Sangha and delivered to his assistant, Kenneth Iwamasa, by middleman Erik Fleming on Oct. 28.
The doctors accused of giving ketamine to Perry, Salvador Plasencia and Mark Chavez, were also arrested.
At 8:30 a.m., Perry's assistant administered a shot of ketamine to the actor. By 12:45 p.m., Perry instructed Iwamasa to give him another injection while watching a movie. About 40 minutes later, Perry allegedly requested another injection, saying, "Shoot me up with a big one," according to a plea agreement.
While Perry was in a Jacuzzi, the live-in assistant administered a third injection. After leaving the home to run errands, Iwamasa returned to find Perry "face down" and dead in the Jacuzzi.
According to his autopsy completed Oct. 29, Perry's death was caused by "acute effects of ketamine." Drowning, coronary artery disease, and buprenorphine effects were listed as contributing factors.
The "Friends" actor died after receiving multiple ketamine injections from his untrained assistant.
In October, at least two times, Perry was found unconscious by Iwamasa at his home, according to the plea agreement of the assistant.
