Brian May, the guitarist of the Queen band, experienced a 'scary' minor stroke that caused him to lose control of his arm.
In May 2020, a heart attack occurred to the 77-year-old musician.
Brian May is in good spirits after suffering a minor stroke last week.
The Queen guitarist posted a health update on Instagram, detailing his hospitalization.
May announced on social media that he can play guitar after the events of the last few days, bringing some good news to his fans.
"The minor stroke that occurred a week ago, which I mentioned earlier, left me without control over my arm, making it a bit frightening," he stated.
In the video, May demonstrated his ability to use his left arm correctly by moving it around.
The musician, 77, expressed gratitude for the "excellent care and attention" he received from healthcare workers at Frimley Hospital in Surrey, England.
"I didn’t have any control over this arm, so it was a little scary." — Brian May
He recalled "blue lights flashing… the lot. Very exciting!"
Despite being hospitalized for a week, May chose not to disclose his health status and concern his fans.
"At the moment, I didn't want to express anything because I didn't want any attention drawn to me. I specifically didn't want any sympathy."
"Please refrain from doing that as it will clutter my inbox and I dislike it," he stated. "The positive aspect is that I am fine. I am simply following instructions, which essentially entails doing nothing. I am grounded."
The musician who sings "We Will Rock You" was advised by his doctors not to drive, fly, or raise his heart rate too high due to his condition.
Planet Chronicle Digital did not receive an immediate response from Reps for May when requested a comment.
In May 2020, the Queen guitarist had a heart attack, which was followed by a health scare for May.
He underwent an angiogram at the hospital, which revealed that three of his arteries were congested and at risk of blocking blood flow to his heart. He decided to have three stents implanted.
He would not have known about the state of his arteries if he had not gotten the angiogram test, which could have resulted in his death.
