'Baywatch' star reveals how his OnlyFans side hustle supports his family and gives him complete control: "I'm my own Hugh Hefner"
A 50-year-old former Playboy model, Brande Roderick, is a single mother of two boys.
Brande Roderick, a "Baywatch" alum, is discussing her experience on OnlyFans, stating that it has been a "great way" for her, as a single mom, to provide for her family.
"Being a single mom of two boys without financial support from their father, I have to take care of my family. My passion and love is acting and producing, so I have a side job with OnlyFans to facilitate my other passion. For me, it's been a wonderful outlet."
The woman, who is 50 years old, stated that her content on the platform mirrors the type of work she did when she posed for Playboy.
"She explained that she continues to do beautiful art photos, like she did when she was in Playboy, but without any nudity. She tries to make them artistic, beautiful, and meaningful."
One advantage of using OnlyFans, according to her, is that "you serve as your own editor."
"She stated, "You only show the images that you cherish and want the world to view, whereas when you were working for Playboy, you had no control over it. So, in a way, I am my own Hugh Hefner.""
Roderick's former "Baywatch" co-star and friend, Carmen Electra, previously revealed to Planet Chronicle Digital that the most unusual request she's received on her OnlyFans was to view her feet.
""People are fascinated by feet," she chuckled, as she often received requests for her own."
Electra also agreed that she likes being her own boss on the site.
"You only put out there the images that you love and that you want, you know, the world to see. Whereas when you were doing Playboy, you really had no control over it. So, it's like I’m my own Hugh Hefner, I guess." — Brande Roderick
"Initially, I was unsure if I wanted to pursue it, but after further investigation, I realized I could be my own boss," she stated. "I enjoy being a part of OnlyFans because I have the freedom to shoot whenever I want and complete creative control over my content."
Roderick praised her fans for their respect and kindness.
"I haven't received any unusual requests, to be honest," she said to Planet Chronicle Digital. "I wish I had something exciting to share. However, everyone has been incredibly respectful and kind. My Playboy fans are genuinely sweet and considerate individuals. I don't have anyone who demands anything unusual from me."
"I think it'd be amusing if someone requested a photo of their feet. Perhaps I don't have attractive feet? I believed I did," she quipped. "I'm not certain, I'll have to inquire about it from Carmen."
Roderick portrayed Leigh Dyer on "Baywatch" and declared it as one of the most memorable experiences of her career.
She recalls the "magical" experience of shooting in Hawaii and feeling like a "little family" with the rest of the cast.
"Roderick shared with Planet Chronicle Digital that they were on an island with only a few people they knew. Every day, it felt like a family or friend gathering, with activities like swimming and playing with Aquaman and Jason Momoa. It couldn't get any better, he said."
She pointed out that while filming the series was enjoyable, the Hulu documentary "After Baywatch: Moment in the Sun" disclosed some of the personal challenges the actors faced while portraying the lifeguards.
Roderick stated that individuals who observe celebrities and the "Baywatch" lifestyle may assume that everyone's life is perfect. However, he believes that people will discover that their lives are not or were not perfect, and that there are struggles that they went through, which the world may not have been aware of.
"I believe that the upcoming show will shed light on people's experiences during the '90s and early 2000s, as they will be vulnerable and open about their personal stories."
