At a Tennessee safari park, Amy Slaton Halterman, the star of "1000-lb Sisters," was arrested on charges of child endangerment and drug possession.
On Monday, the Crockett County Sheriff's Department posted online that Halterman and Brian Scott Lovvorn were arrested and are facing the same charges.
"FROM FEEDING A CAMEL TO THE SLAMMER," the statement began.
In Crockett County, Labor Day was anything but typical. A guest at Safari Park reported being bitten by a camel, prompting deputies to be called. Upon their arrival, the deputies were immediately overwhelmed by the suspicious smells emanating from the guest's vehicle.
"Amy Slaton Halterman, a reality TV star known for her weight loss journey on "1,000-Lb. Sisters," was arrested for illegal possession of Schedule I and Schedule VI drugs, as well as two counts of child endangerment. Brian Scott Lovvorn, who was in the vehicle with her, is also facing the same charges."
The Crockett County jail recorded Halterman and Lovvorn as inmates.
The accusations mentioned in this statement are not proven evidence of criminal conduct. The defendant is considered innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt through due process of law.
The mugshots of Halterman and Lovvorn were also included in the post by the Crockett County Sheriff's Department.
Halterman's ex-husband, Michael Halterman, shares sons Gage Deon Halterman, 4, and Glenn Allen Halterman, 2, with her. The arrest of Halterman for child endangerment did not specify the reason for the arrest or if her children were present at the safari park on Monday.
In March 2023, Michael filed for divorce from Halterman, as reported by E! News. After that, she started dating Kevin, but their relationship did not last long. It is unknown if Lovvorn is now Halterman's love interest.
Tammy Slaton, Halterman's "1000-lb Sisters" co-star and sister, is always there to support her through her love life's ups and downs.
Tammy allowed me to move in with her and her kids this season on the show. She provided a safe haven for me and my children. My siblings have been there for me throughout my journey.
