Angelina Jolie is eager to depart from Los Angeles.
In 2016, Brad Pitt was filed for divorce by Angelina Jolie.
Angelina Jolie is eagerly anticipating the day she can depart from Los Angeles.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the actress discussed her personal life, including her children's well-being and her divorce from actor Brad Pitt.
Jolie revealed that despite being raised in Los Angeles, she stays in the city solely due to her divorce.
She stated that once her twins, Vivienne and Knox, turn 18, she will be able to depart.
The renowned actress is seeking "privacy" for her "big family," which includes Maddox, 23; Pax, 20; Zahara, 19; and Shiloh, 18, along with Vivienne and Knox.
"When you have a big family, you want them to have privacy, peace, safety. I have a house now to raise my children, but sometimes this place can be… that humanity that I found across the world is not what I grew up with here." — Angelina Jolie
"Jolie stated that when you have a large family, you desire privacy, peace, and safety for them. She revealed that she has a home now to raise her children, but sometimes this place can be a stark contrast to the humanity she encountered across the world, which was not what she was accustomed to growing up."
Once she's able to leave Los Angeles, Jolie intends to travel the world.
"She stated that she would spend a considerable amount of time in Cambodia, the location where Maddox was adopted in 2002. Instead, she said she would spend time visiting her family members wherever they may be in the world."
In September 2016, Pitt and Jolie divorced after two years of marriage. Jolie did not disclose the current status of their divorce in a recent interview with the Reporter.
Despite the ongoing Venice Film Festival, there is "no way" Pitt and Jolie will reunite.
The Venice Film Festival has ensured that Jolie and Pitt do not have to interact during the screening of their respective films, "Maria" and "Wolfs," despite their ongoing feud over ownership of their winery and ongoing divorce negotiations.
"On the first day of the Venice Film Festival, which takes place on Thursday, August 29, Angelina Jolie will be present. She will leave immediately after with director Pablo Larraín to attend the Telluride Film Festival. As previously stated by artistic director Alberto Barbera to Vanity Fair, Brad Pitt will not arrive until Saturday at the Venice Film Festival, and there is no possibility of them crossing paths on the Lido."
Pitt and Jolie's ongoing divorce and legal battle over Château Miraval are keeping them apart.
Since 2022, the French winery owned by the former couple has been making headlines due to a lawsuit filed by Pitt against Jolie, alleging that her sale of the winery violated their contract.
In 2008, the couple bought a controlling stake in Château Miraval and spent time at the home during their relationship. They even got married at the French vineyard in 2014.
Jolie recently demanded Pitt to disclose third-party communications about the 2016 plane incident, which allegedly led to a physical fight between them and resulted in Jolie filing for divorce.
"Angelina Jolie's lawyer, Paul Murphy, stated to Planet Chronicle Digital that Mr. Pitt has control over all the properties the couple shared as well as the business, but still demands more, and is suing Angelina for $67 million plus punitive damages. In doing so, Pitt placed squarely at issue why he tried to punish and control Angelina by demanding a newly expanded NDA to cover his personal misconduct and abuse. Those actions are central to these proceedings."
"The lawyer stated that they were not surprised that Mr. Pitt was afraid to reveal documents proving certain facts, as Angelina had previously asked him to end the fighting and move towards healing. However, if Mr. Pitt did not withdraw his lawsuit, Angelina had no choice but to obtain evidence to prove his allegations false."
A source close to Pitt's response to Jolie's request stated that the winery lawsuit is a simple business conflict.
Unfortunately, the other side has consistently introduced personal elements into the business dispute, which have exposed the weaknesses in their case and complicated and lengthened the proceedings, the source stated.
Planet Chronicle Digital's Lauryn Overhultz contributed to this report.
