Angelina Jolie has experienced a lot of betrayals, which has made it difficult for her to form close friendships due to a lack of trust.
In 2016, Brad Pitt was filed for divorce by Angelina Jolie.
Angelina Jolie keeps her circle small.
The actress revealed in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter that she has lost friendships due to betrayal.
The actress, who is currently promoting her new film "Maria," stated that she doesn't have close friends to call at 3 in the morning. She explained that it could be due to losing a parent young, working hard, or being someone who has been betrayed a lot.
"I don't have many close relationships, but I have a few that are important to me. Loung Ung is one of my closest friends, and my mother was very close to me. I've lost her, and some of my friends haven't been there for my family in their time of need. However, I have a few people that I trust."
Those in the inner circle are aware of the actress's preferred way to unwind.
""I enjoy being with people I care about. I'm not someone who craves solitude," she stated."
"I don't feel like I need to be alone to indulge in my guilty pleasures because usually, my guilty pleasure is spending time with someone and making them happy. This brings me immense joy."
Jolie revealed that she plans to relocate from Los Angeles once her youngest children turn 18. Although she grew up in the City of Angels, she has stayed put due to her divorce from Brad Pitt.
She stated that as soon as her youngest children, Vivienne and Knox, turn 18, she will be able to leave, referring to the twins she shares with Pitt. The former couple also have Maddox, Pax, Zahara, and Shiloh, who are all 23, 20, 19, and 18 years old, respectively.
"Jolie stated that when you have a large family, you desire privacy, peace, and safety for them. She revealed that she has a home now to raise her children, but sometimes this place can be a stark contrast to the humanity she encountered across the world, which was not what she was accustomed to growing up."
Once she's able to leave Los Angeles, Jolie intends to travel the world.
"She stated that she would spend a considerable amount of time in Cambodia, the location where Maddox was adopted in 2002. Instead, she said she would spend time visiting her family members wherever they may be in the world."
