The actress who played "Misery" told the New York Times that she is relieved to be finished filming after working on the upcoming "Matlock" reboot.

In the new CBS series, Madeline "Matty" Matlock, portrayed by Bates, has achieved the career success she had always desired.

The new TV series follows a successful septuagenarian, Madeline, who decides to rejoin the workforce at a prestigious law firm. Using her unassuming demeanor and wily tactics, Madeline wins cases and exposes corruption from within.

In the pilot, Matty remarked, "As women age, we become almost invisible. This is advantageous because people don't notice us approaching."

Despite her numerous accolades, including an Oscar and an Emmy Award, Bates' work has left the "American Horror Story" star feeling weighed down by her obsession with achieving perfection in her craft.
