A domestic violence charge led to the arrest of Michael Madsen in Malibu.
Michael Madsen, an actor known for his role in Reservoir Dogs, was granted bail in the amount of $20,000.
On Sunday at his Malibu home, Michael Madsen was arrested for a misdemeanor spousal battery charge, as confirmed by Planet Chronicle Digital.
At 1:40 a.m., the "Donnie Brasco" actor was taken and placed in jail at the Malibu/Lost Hills sheriff's station.
Madsen, 66, was released shortly after posting a $20,000 bond.
Deputies from the Malibu/Lost Hills sheriffs department were dispatched to a "family disturbance" call on the west side of the affluent community shortly after midnight.
According to Lieutenant Adam Zeko, a female adult claimed that her husband pushed her and locked her out of their residence, as stated by the informant.
"According to the initial investigation, it was found that Michael Madsen was involved in a domestic incident with his wife. As a result, he was arrested for the misdemeanor offense of Spousal Battery."
The misdemeanor committed by Zeko was a violation of Penal Code 243(e)(1), which defines the use of force or violence against a cohabitant and can result in a punishment of up to one year in jail.

In 2019, Madsen was arrested for drunk driving and pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor charge.
At the time, he received a sentence of four days in jail and five years probation.
