Travis Kelce, the Kansas City Chiefs' star tight end, commended the Denver Broncos' 'White corner' following their thrilling victory.
Riley Moss is entering his second season with the Broncos.
Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs observed something peculiar about the Denver Broncos' cornerbacks following their game on Sunday.
"Kelce remarked on 'New Heights' that one of the top defenses in the league has a white corner."
Riley Moss, a second-year player with the Broncos, was mentioned by Kelce during the NFL Draft in 2023, where he was chosen in the third round from Iowa.
Since 2002, no White cornerback has started a game, with Jason Sehorn being the last to do so for the New York Giants.
The Broncos defense, led by moss, has been one of the best in the league, allowing the fourth fewest points per game (17.7).
Last season, Moss played in 14 games but did not start any. This season, he has started every game and made 43 solo tackles, five passes defended, and one interception.
Jason Kelce, Travis' brother and podcast co-host, questioned whether Moss was an authentic outside cornerback or a safety playing cornerback in a specific defensive scheme.
Travis replied, "Yeah, 21 (Moss' jersey number), starter. He hides it though. He wears long sleeves. I think he wears the turtleneck too."
The Kelce brothers then cracked a few jokes about Moss wearing long sleeves.
""Don't let them see the skin," Jason said, bursting out laughing."
Which one's the White guy again? I can't tell," Jason said while laughing. "Moss hides it.
Travis shifted the discussion back to reality, commending Moss.
Travis stated that the kid can play, and he was covered by a linebacker for a play while playing. Everyone around him was looking at him differently.
At Iowa, Moss's teammate was the only other White cornerback in the NFL, Cooper DeJean.
In the 2024 NFL Draft, the Philadelphia Eagles picked DeJean in the second round.
In the 16-14 victory of the Chiefs over Denver, Travis caught eight passes for 64 yards and scored the only touchdown.
The Chiefs, who have yet to lose a game, will face a significant challenge this week as they travel to face the Buffalo Bills in a highly anticipated matchup.
