OutKick's 'Hot Mic' welcomed former Auburn football coach, Tuberville.
Rep. Matt Gaetz was praised by Sen. Tommy Tuberville, R-Ala., the former Auburn football head coach, following President-elect Trump's decision to appoint Gaetz as attorney general.
If Trump is sworn in for his second term in January, Gaetz, R-Fla., will lead the Justice Department.
Trump announced Gaetz's nomination on Truth Social, highlighting his accomplishments in Congress and his efforts to reform the Department of Justice.
In an interview on OutKick's "Hot Mic," Tuberville stated that Gaetz is a close friend of his and has been supportive of his choices.
The 2004 AP Coach of the Year said that Trump shook up the world, but he told people, 'Listen, we're not giving in. We're gonna take the best.' About Matt Gaetz, he is hard-nosed, knows the Constitution, and loves it.
Despite Merrick Garland's disregard for the Constitution and frequent lawbreaking, you emphasize the contrast between his role as attorney general and his responsibility to uphold the law as the country's top law enforcement officer.

Trump's Attorney General would be an honor to serve, according to Gaetz's post on X.
