On Thursday, Bill Belichick's girlfriend appeared to put an end to any speculation about her boyfriend leaving the North Carolina Tar Heels football program for an NFL job.

Belichick was rumored to be interested in coaching the Dallas Cowboys, but he had already committed to North Carolina and hadn't signed a contract with the school, according to CBS Sports.

She shared a picture on Instagram of the two of them with a football and Belichick wearing Carolina blue.

"Two people are clearly devoted to @uncfootball, as shown in the photo," she captioned.

Michael Lombardi, the general manager of the North Carolina football program, refuted rumors that Belichick was considering a return to the pros.

Bill is currently recruiting in DC and Baltimore. His main focus is on North Carolina football, where he is hiring staff members and developing the team. He has clarified that the NFL is not an option, so please refrain from making it one. Thank you.

The reception towards UNC and Coach Belichick has been positive from every school we visit. We will strive to retain North Carolina players and attract top talent to Chapel Hill.

In December, Belichick was appointed as the Tar Heels' coach and he described the job as his "dream come true."

"Belichick stated in his introductory press conference that coaching college football has always been his dream, but it never worked out. However, he had some successful years in the NFL, which was acceptable. Now, with this opportunity, he considers it a true dream come true."
