Bloomberg makes a $10 million donation to assist House Democrats.
In May, the White House received $30 million in support from Bloomberg.
In July, the Democrats' House Majority PAC received a $10 million donation from billionaire businessman Mike Bloomberg as they strive to regain control of the chamber from the Republicans.
The PAC is the primary source of financial support for Democrats in the House, aiding both incumbents and challengers in their efforts to defeat Republicans.
"Mayor Mike Bloomberg's unwavering support for House Majority PAC has been greatly appreciated, as expressed by its President Mike Smith in a statement to NBC News. Smith emphasized the importance of American freedoms and how Bloomberg's commitment to Democratic ideals will drive their efforts to promote a working family agenda and elect Speaker Hakeem Jeffries in the upcoming year."
Vice President Kamala Harris is receiving a big donation after President Biden received $20 million from Bloomberg in June, which was used to support his re-election campaign.
The billionaire's renewed support for Democrats is years after his failed attempt to run for president in 2020, where he spent $1 billion of his own money on his nomination bid.
He transferred $18 million to the Democratic Party after dropping out of the race and separately announced funding of a $100 million independent ad campaign to boost Biden's White House bid.
According to Forbes Magazine, Bloomberg, who is 82 years old, ranks 15th among the world's wealthiest individuals, with approximately $106 billion in assets.
In May, a conservative billionaire donor, Timothy Mellon, gave a $50 million contribution to a leading super PAC supporting former President Trump's White House bid, which was going viral alongside the news of Bloomberg's contributions.
Since Biden endorsed Harris, there has been a surge in donations for Democrats, and enthusiasm for the election has increased, balancing out the previously favorable race for Trump.
