A large number of debate viewers believe Harris won, according to a CNN poll.
The ABC News moderators have been criticized by Trump and his supporters.
A majority of debate viewers believed Vice President Kamala Harris excelled in Tuesday's debate against former President Trump, according to a CNN poll.
On Tuesday night, the survey respondents were evenly divided, with 50% expecting Trump to win and 50% expecting a Harris victory. However, by the end of the night, 63% of respondents said they believed Harris had won, while only 37% thought Trump had emerged victorious.
96% of Harris' supporters believed she won, while 69% of Trump supporters thought the former president won.
A poll conducted by CNN via text message surveyed 605 registered voters who watched Tuesday night's debate, with a margin of error of 5.3%.
The former president's performance at the Pennsylvania debate has been defended by Trump allies, while the ABC News debate moderators, David Muir and Linsey Davis, have been criticized by many.
Elise Stefanik, R-N.Y., stated that President Trump delivered a strong message to the American people, emphasizing reducing inflation and strengthening the economy, securing the border, and pursuing a peace-through-strength foreign policy.
"The ABC moderators, who were not journalists, were pro-Kamala activists who baselessly attacked President Trump during a 3 on 1 debate, while allowing Kamala to lie repeatedly. Despite this, President Trump won overwhelmingly and will win again on Election Day," she added.
Sen. JD Vance, R-Ohio, echoed Trump's sentiments to Planet Chronicle host Sean Hannity, stating, "The moderators failed to perform their duties, but President Trump executed his responsibilities."
Trump stated that the debate was "three against one" because the moderators aligned with Harris on several topics.
Planet Chronicle invited both the Trump and Harris campaigns for a second debate in October.
"Trump replied, "She wants it because she lost. I don't know. I have to think about it. But if you won the debate, I sort of think maybe I shouldn't do it. Why should I do another debate? She immediately said we want another debate. That's... you know what happens when you're a prizefighter, and you lose? You immediately want a new fight.""
