Trump adviser scolds CNN after assassination attempt: Only Trump is acceptable to criticize.
On Sunday, Trump again faced an attempt on his life.
The criticism of former President Trump's rhetoric after a second assassination attempt has made him a victim of shaming, according to Bryan Lanza, a senior advisor to the Trump 2024 campaign.
Lanza stated that over the past 24 hours, there has been a significant amount of victim shaming in relation to the shooting, as observed.
On Sunday, another attempt was made on Trump's life by a gunman while he was golfing at Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida. The suspect, Ryan Wesley Routh, was 300 to 500 yards away from Trump when the Secret Service spotted him and opened fire. He fled but was later arrested.
"This is the only place where Donald Trump is the victim, and it's okay to shame him," he said. "He has been shot at once, there's been another assassination attempt, and, fortunately, the Secret Service was able to prevent another direct assassination attempt."
"Lanza stated, "The rhetoric intensifies as Donald Trump entered the race, being the most insulted presidential candidate in American history. He has been labeled Hitler, antisemitic, and many other derogatory names for holding the same opinions 20 years ago, which is not politically advantageous for the Democratic Party.""
"Lanza stated, "Yes, he gets frustrated at times, the rhetoric gets heated, and we may need to tone it down a bit. However, there's no easy solution.""
Lanza accused Reid Hoffman of calling Trump a "martyr."
During a panel in July, Hoffman allegedly said, "I wish I had made him an actual martyr."
Trump's first assassination attempt prompted Hoffman to explain his earlier comments on X.
In July, Hoffman expressed his horror and sadness over the events that affected former President Trump and wished him a quick recovery.
