Kamala Harris' interviews have been criticized by Newt Gingrich for being a "word salad," while her position on Israel and Hamas has been deemed "insane."
VP Harris' unscripted interviews are harming her campaign, according to former House speaker.
Kamala Harris is still campaigning, but her "word salad" interviews have made some pundits doubt if she can persuade undecided voters. Newt Gingrich, the former House Speaker, said on "Hannity" that the new interviews are a "joke," emphasizing the "insanity" of Harris' stance on the Israel-Hamas war.
NEWT GINGRICH: The American people are not foolish. In recent interviews with undecided voters, it has been found that they believe she is much more radical than Donald Trump. They associate her with Biden and the Biden administration, thinking that she is the candidate of the past while Trump is a candidate of change, with a ratio of three-and-a-half to one. Americans desire change in current policies, not continuity. This may be due to psychological factors or her inability to articulate clear and coherent policy positions. However, the more word salads she uses, the more obvious it becomes that she either does not know what she is saying or cannot articulate it, or she is trying to hide. The interview today did not help her at all, as it became a joke and was perceived as absurd by many.
If you simply observe her, it's the same repetitive content over and over again. The things she has memorized have no connection to reality. In this interview, she discusses the need for a truce in Gaza and the release of hostages. However, there are two issues. Firstly, she is the vice president, and after 11 months, they have made no progress. Secondly, Hamas' constitution states that not a single Jew will remain in Israel. When people chant "from the river to the sea," they are advocating for genocide, just as the Nazi Germans did with Jews in Europe. College students must understand that this quote from Hamas is a genocidal statement that aims to either massacre or expel every Jew from Israel. Therefore, her fantasy of negotiating with Hamas and achieving a reasonable agreement is unrealistic and disconnected from the real world.
Despite her campaign being characterized by limited media appearances, Vice President Kamala Harris had her first solo interview with the national media on Tuesday.
In Philadelphia, Harris addressed the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) a month after Trump spoke to the same organization and sparked controversy by challenging Harris' racial identity.
The interview covered a range of topics beyond race, including Harris's economic plan, views on abortion, support for Israel, and stance on gun control.
The moderators shifted their focus to the second attempt on Trump's life over the weekend. Harris revealed that she contacted Trump following the near-miss to ensure he was okay.
Harris responded affirmatively when asked about her confidence in the Secret Service's ability to safeguard her.
"Not everyone has Secret Service protection, and many people in our country are not feeling safe, including members of the LGBTQ community, immigrants, and women. Despite having Secret Service protection, she emphasized the importance of fighting for the safety of everyone in our country."
