Video shows a man dressed as a Halloween villain scaring drivers in standstill traffic.
A Michael Myers lookalike caused a standstill in traffic, making it more enjoyable.
This weekend, Arizonans in standstill traffic were both entertained and terrified by a costumed driver who went rogue.
On Sunday, Ryan Blauvet, a driver, posted a dashcam video in a Facebook group for Prescott residents. The video was filmed near Black Canyon City, about 45 minutes north of downtown Phoenix, according to FOX 10 Phoenix.
Blauvet stated in his social media post that the incident occurred on Interstate 17, resulting in drivers being stuck in standstill traffic for several hours.
A man in a Michael Myers-style mask is shown in the video, brandishing a knife and stalking along the side of the road.
The man, dressed in black and resembling the "Halloween" character, stared at the cars' windows and license plates.
"This afternoon, traffic was parked on the 17 for 2+ hours," Blauvet wrote on Facebook. "I decided to blast the Halloween theme song and saw Michael Myers running around."
He slipped into his role and made the wait more enjoyable, he remarked.
The Arizonan shared a video of him fist-bumping the man, but he didn't catch the man's name in his Facebook post.
He invited anyone who knew the identity of the person in question to forward the message to him or tag them.
The video was enjoyed by local residents and received over 1,000 likes in the local Facebook group.
One Facebook user commented, "The world needs more lighthearted fun like this right now. Thank you for sharing."
"That's too cool!" another said.
Blauvet was contacted by Planet Chronicle Digital for comment, but no immediate response was received.
