A man suspected of leaking classified documents about Israel's plans for a possible attack against Iran has been arrested and charged, according to a New York Times report.
According to The Times, Asif William Rahman, a U.S. government employee, was arrested by FBI agents in Cambodia on Tuesday and charged with two counts of willful retention and transmission of national defense information in federal court in Guam.
The Five Eyes, comprising the U.S., Great Britain, Canada, New Zealand, and Australia, have classified documents that reveal Israel's plans to conduct a military strike in response to Iran's ballistic missile attack on Oct. 1. These documents, attributed to the U.S. Geospatial Intelligence Agency and National Security Agency, indicate that Israel was still moving military assets into position for the strike.
In October, the top secret documents were shared on the Telegram messaging app.
