An anonymous NFL agent claims that the vibe inside the building is terrible and the jets are in 'complete disarray.'
Last season, the Jets had a record of 10 losses and 7 wins.
The Jets aim to end their 13-year playoff hiatus, which is the longest in North American professional sports.
At NFL Honors night in February, Woody Johnson, the owner, made it clear what he expected following a 7-10 season.
Johnson stated through Sports Illustrated that they all received the message, it's time to act, and they must produce this year. Although it's not a playoff requirement, they need to improve significantly from their seven wins.
However, things might not be going to plan in Florham Park.
NFL agents were surveyed by The Athletic for their opinions on league events.
Out of the 31 agents surveyed, three named the Jets the least stable franchise in the NFL. The Carolina Panthers and the Las Vegas Raiders were the only teams to receive more votes.
The NFL agent stated that there is complete disarray over the handling of Aaron Rodgers by the team. Has any player ever had more power than him? He skipped minicamp and the team has been unable to turn him into a team player. The vibe inside the building is terrible.
In the offseason, Rodgers participated in voluntary workouts and OTA's with the team but skipped the Jets' two-day minicamp to go on a pre-planned trip to Egypt.
The Jets' defense was the only reason they won seven games last season, while their offense, led by backup Zach Wilson, was weak.
In the season, the Jets went 11 quarters without scoring an offensive touchdown. In the offseason, Wilson was traded to the Denver Broncos.
Johnson's expectations for this season are high due to Rodgers' return and good health after sustaining an Achilles tendon injury in his first game with the Jets last season.
The team signed three free agent offensive linemen, including Tyron Smith, Morgan Moses, and John Simpson, and used their first-round draft pick on offensive tackle Olu Fashanu to strengthen their offensive line.
Joe Douglas, the general manager, signed Mike Williams, a former Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver, to join Garrett Wilson and Breece Hall as playmakers for Rodgers.
The defense's core remains strong, with standout cornerback Sauce Gardner and defensive lineman Quinnen Williams leading the way.
If the Jets struggle to find the runway during playoff time, changes may occur in the coaching staff and front office.
On September 9, the Jets embark on their journey towards the playoffs by facing the San Francisco 49ers in California.
