CNN's Jennings criticizes his network for misrepresenting Trump's "bloodbath" comment.
Every day on this network, Trump's rhetoric is being mischaracterized, according to Jennings.
On Monday, CNN senior political commentator Scott Jennings accused his own network of allowing former President Trump's rhetoric to be mischaracterized by the Harris campaign in a way "designed to radicalize."
On Sunday, Trump was hurried away from the golf course at Trump International in West Palm Beach, Fla., after the Secret Service discovered a gunman in the bushes. Authorities are treating this as a possible second assassination attempt. Trump has claimed that President Biden and Vice President Harris' "rhetoric" is the reason he is being targeted.
The day after the assassination attempt, Abby Phillip hosted a panel of commentators discussing the link between heated election rhetoric and the recent attempts on Trump's life.
When I observe the statements of Democratic politicians and commentators regarding Donald Trump, and their platform is constructed on a foundation of falsehoods intended to inflame a political base, it leads me to question how sincere they are in their condemnation of the violence that we both agree is unacceptable.
The Harris campaign was accused of fearmongering by the caller regarding the potential outcome of a Trump presidency.
Her campaign is built on the assertion that Trump will be a dictator on day one. She repeats this herself. However, this country has a history of fighting dictators, which the panel protested.
During a town hall with Sean Hannity in December, Trump joked that he would not be a dictator "except for day one." He added, "Other than day one - we’re closing the border, and we’re drilling, drilling, drilling. After that, I’m not a dictator."
Jennings stated that Trump's prediction of an economic "bloodbath" for the automotive industry if President Biden won was taken out of context.
In the presidential debate last week, Harris stated that Trump, the candidate, had declared that there would be a bloodbath if the election results did not suit him.
"According to Jennings, every Democrat involved in Harris' campaign daily states the "bloodbath thing" on this network and every other one."
"Vice President Harris improperly and unfairly mischaracterized the use of the word 'bloodbath' when discussing vehicle manufacturing jobs in the United States as her saying there would be a bloodbath if she were elected, but Phillip confirmed that she did not say that if Trump were elected, there would be a bloodbath."
These false narratives, according to Jennings, are part of the Democratic Party's strategy.
Jennings stated that he is aware of the interviews and coverage you have witnessed, and the 'bloodbath' rhetoric, 'dictator,' and 'eliminate the U.S. Constitution' are key components of the Democratic campaign against Trump.
