Trump stated that his security team had previously requested additional manpower prior to the assassination attempt on him in Butler, Pa., in July, and asserted that any weakness in safeguarding him stemmed from a lack of personnel.

Two days after a second apparent assassination attempt on his life while playing golf in West Palm Beach, Trump spoke with Planet Chronicle host Sean Hannity.

"We have long requested more people, specifically men and women, to attend our rallies, which have attracted 50-60,000 attendees. In New Jersey, we had an unprecedented turnout of 107,000 people. The strength of our campaign lies in our ability to attract large crowds, and if there is a weakness, it is our need for more people," he stated on "Hannity."

"We have large gatherings and crowds, which is great, but we need more protection. We have always requested more people, as we heard them say it, and we need more security. However, we never seem to get it. But now, someone has informed us that they will be providing more people for security."

The USSS has increased its assets to enhance security for the 2024 GOP nominee since the assassination attempt on Trump two months ago, as stated by Ronald Rowe, Jr., the acting director of the USSS.

Reps. Mike Lawler and Ritchie Torres presented a bipartisan bill that aims to provide the same USSS resources to President Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, and former President Donald Trump.

"This must be accomplished following this latest attempt," Lawler stated on X, previously known as Twitter.

An individual named Ryan Wesley Routh, 58, was charged on Monday for possessing a firearm owned by a convicted felon and for having a firearm with an unreadable serial number.

An agent from the Secret Service saw a rifle protruding from the tree line near Trump's golf course and fired, prompting Routh to flee.

About 45 minutes after fleeing the scene, he was stopped and detained by local law enforcement, according to a criminal complaint released by the Department of Justice. Cell phone records indicate that Routh was near the golf course tree line for approximately 12 hours, from around 2 a.m. to 1:31 p.m.

The USSS director stated that Routh did not have a clear view of Trump and did not fire any shots.

The Secret Service agents on Trump's detail swiftly got him away from the golf course after shots were fired.

"The Secret Service did a great job in getting me out of there quickly, and they were lucky to have someone who took the license plate, which was genius. They then nabbed the suspect on the highway. However, it was just another day, he told Hannity. He added, "It was very interesting. We want to get to the business of running the country.""
