The Justice Department has prevented an Iranian plan to assassinate President-elect Donald Trump prior to the election.
An unnamed official in Iran's paramilitary Revolutionary Guard is accused of instructing a contact to create a plan to monitor and ultimately assassinate Trump, as stated in a criminal complaint filed in federal court in Manhattan.
