Trump supporter under investigation after allegedly wishing for unwanted pregnancy by Idaho high school teacher.
The teacher allegedly described a person as "pathetic-looking" and instructed them to "cover their profile picture."
A high school teacher in Idaho is being investigated for controversial comments she made on Facebook after President-elect Donald Trump's victory.
The Chubbuck School District 25 is examining remarks made by Century High School teacher Lori Lombard following the emergence of screenshots indicating that she wished an "unwanted pregnancy" on a Trump supporter.
Lombard described the person she was posting about as "pathetic" and requested them to cover their profile picture.
Lombard allegedly wrote, "Cover your profile picture. You look pathetic and are inviting ridicule. Everyone will know you can't get a woman and don't have children unless you force yourself on someone."
Lombard, a local high school teacher, was accused of attacking people on Twitter and wishing a "pregnancy issue" on another person in the comments.
Lombard allegedly wrote, "I hope your wife or daughter has an unwanted pregnancy. However, upon looking at your picture, I realize you don't have a wife. Furthermore, I doubt that you have ever had a daughter by force."
Lombard allegedly wrote that Trump's election success in Idaho demonstrates that the state's citizens do not pay attention to accurate information and do not care about Trump's poor performance. As a result, Lombard suggests that criminal background checks should be abolished in Idaho, as most citizens do not care about felons who have lied, stolen, and defrauded banks and taxpayers out of millions. Lombard believes that any felon deserves a job.
The school district announced that it will investigate the comments and stated that personal opinions expressed by employees outside of work are "protected."
Our school, PCSD 25, acknowledges the concerns raised about a recent social media interaction involving one of our teachers. We have forwarded these concerns to the district and school administration for review. We take these concerns very seriously.
"We prioritize everyone's safety and well-being and expect respectful dialogue. Any threats or harassment will be addressed constructively and referred to the proper authorities."
A person who was allegedly attacked by Lombard shared screenshots and a video of the incident with Planet Chronicle Digital, providing evidence of the comments made.
During these times, people can become passionate about their political stance. What I found astonishing was Century High School teacher Lori Lombard wishing unwanted pregnancies and pregnancy complications on those who are voting differently than her, as Cordell wrote.
"Cordell, a mother who faced difficulties in giving birth to her child, is horrified that her own child could one day have her as a teacher. This teacher, who wished harm on her child due to a disagreement, is responsible for shaping the future minds of young students. Cordell wonders what kind of messages she might be sending to her students behind closed doors."
Lombard's comments have since been taken down.
As per the school's website, Lombard is a technical education instructor.
Lori Lombard did not respond to Planet Chronicle Digital's request for comment.
