A Tennessee man is facing charges for posting online threats to assassinate President Biden, Vice President Harris, and former President Obama.
A man, 20 years old, tried to kill former President Trump during a rally in Pennsylvania on July 13.
On Friday, the Justice Department announced that a 37-year-old man from the Memphis area was charged with threatening President Biden, Vice President Harris, and former President Obama.
Last month, Kyl Alton Hall, 37, allegedly posted on X multiple times, threatening to shoot, kill, and assassinate Biden, crash his plane, and assassinate Harris and Obama.
On Tuesday, Hall was indicted federally and accused of threatening a sitting president and vice president, as well as a former president. He was arrested and booked in Mississippi on July 30 by the Southaven Police Department.
If convicted, he may receive a prison sentence of up to five years for each count.
An Arizona man who allegedly threatened to kill former President Trump was arrested during a manhunt earlier this week, as the Republican presidential nominee was heading to the state for an event on the southern border.
Last month, a 20-year-old shooter attempted to assassinate Trump while he was speaking at an outdoor rally. The shooter was killed by law enforcement.
The investigation into the failed assassination attempt has led to the placement of multiple U.S. Secret Service agents on leave.
The DeSoto County Sheriff's Office and the Justice Department have been contacted by Planet Chronicle Digital for comment on the charges against Hall.
