A would-be Miami Corvette thief becomes trapped in the car and pleads the owner for assistance.
Ravesh Rabindranauth scared the c--- out of Julio Solano, says Julio Solano.
A video has been captured by a Corvette owner in Miami Beach of a would-be thief pleading for assistance after being trapped inside his sports car.
According to WPLG, the footage captured by Julio Solano shows suspect Ravesh Rabindranauth asking him "Can I get out?" after allegedly breaking into his Corvette, which was parked in a garage on Monday.
"No, you can't leave, we're calling the police, what do you mean by that? This is grand theft auto, are you trying to steal my car, what are you doing?" Solano tells Rabindranauth, who is sitting in the driver's seat.
In the video, Solano says to his brother, "This is not your car, it's mine."
Rabindranauth is taken into custody by police as they arrive at the Corvette.
Rabindranauth was able to enter the Corvette, but it's unclear how he did so. Solano informed the station that the car's electrical components require the keys to function, and fortunately, Rabindranauth was unaware of the manual door release located under the seat.
Rabindranauth is currently being held on a $2,500 bond for the burglary of an unoccupied conveyance.
As Solano returned to his Corvette following breakfast, an incident occurred inside a parking garage in Miami Beach, according to police.
""I was staring at the garage manager when he said, 'Hey, dude, someone's in your car.' I thought it was all a joke," Solano told WSVN."
"Suddenly, it appeared as though someone was concealed in the vehicle, startling me out of my wits."
