Joyride suspects crash New York City subway train and flee: police
The suspects escaped on foot following the accident.
Two suspects are being sought by New York City authorities after a subway train crash occurred last week.
On Tuesday, the NYPD released photos of the suspects, a man and a woman, involved in the incident that occurred on Sept. 12.
At midnight, a pair of individuals boarded a parked, unoccupied subway train at the Briarwood station in Queens, according to a statement shared with Planet Chronicle Digital.
Before crashing into another train, the two managed to start the vehicle and get it moving.
The NYPD stated that the unidentified individuals escaped on foot to an unknown location.
No injuries were reported after the suspects fled the scene following the crash.
"The individual described in the press release is a male with a slender physique and fair skin. He was last seen wearing a blue tank top, red shorts, and carrying a black backpack."
"The second person being searched for is described as a woman with a medium build and medium complexion. She was last seen wearing a pink shower cap, a pink sleeveless shirt, pink shorts, and carrying a pink handbag."
As of Tuesday evening, the NYPD has not made any arrests in connection with the incident. Anyone with information is urged to contact 800-577-TIPS.
The NYPD is currently investigating the incident, but no further information is available.
