Will Levis of the Titans faces criticism after two consecutive turnovers.
The Bears faced a similar bad play from Levis.
For the second week in a row, Tennessee Titans quarterback Will Levis was mocked for an inexplicable turnover, which occurred on Sunday against the New York Jets.
Levis had the Titans in the red zone, aiming to increase their lead over the Jets early in the game. Levis took the snap, scanned to his right and began to create space within the pocket. He encountered a couple of potential Jets tacklers.
As Levis advanced in his pants, he stumbled. He attempted to execute a backward pass to running back Tyjae Spears, but the pass was too low and he couldn't finish it. Instead, Jets defenders tackled the ball and recovered the fumble.
NFL fans criticized Levis for his play, while Quinnen Williams recovered the fumble on the defensive line.
As Levis returned to the sideline, it appeared that Titans head coach Brian Callahan was shouting at him.
"Hey, what are you doing?" Callahan seemed to say.
For the second consecutive week, Levis had a puzzling turnover. During the game against the Chicago Bears last week, Levis attempted to make something out of nothing.
Tyrique Stevenson, a Bears cornerback, intercepted the pass thrown by him and returned it 43 yards for the go-ahead score, resulting in a 24-17 victory for Chicago in the game.
On Monday night, Bill Belichick, the former head coach of the New England Patriots, discussed the Levis turnover on the "ManningCast" on ESPN.
"Belichick stated, "That's a terrible decision. Tom Brady and I have discussed it countless times. If you complete this pass, what are the benefits? Will you gain one yard, two yards? What are the consequences? Will you lose the game?""
