One of the police officers who arrested Miami Dolphins star wide receiver Tyreek Hill on Sunday was accused of misconduct by Hill.

In an interview on Amazon Prime Video before the team's "Thursday Night Football" game against the Buffalo Bills, Hill claimed that one of the officers grabbed him by the neck and tried to provoke him.

"Whenever I was handcuffed behind my back, the officer was pinching me on my neck, trying to get me to do something to him," Hill said. "It's just crazy, next level crazy."

The Miami-Dade Police Department released bodycam footage that showed the hands of multiple police officers near George Floyd's neck during his arrest, but it did not provide a full uninterrupted shot of his neck.

Danny Torres, a 27-year veteran police officer, is the one who put Hill in handcuffs, not the officer Hill alleges tried to antagonize him.

After being placed on paid administrative duty by the Miami-Dade Police director, Torres' lawyers are demanding that the officer be reinstated immediately.

The lawyers called for an immediate reinstatement of their client and a comprehensive investigation, as Director Daniels had also recommended. They stated that their client would not make any comments until the investigation was completed and all facts were made public.

On Sunday, footage revealed that Hill was initially pulled over for speeding while approaching Hard Rock Stadium. The officer instructed Hill to roll down his window, and he handed over his driver's license. However, Hill repeatedly told the officer not to knock on his window. The footage also showed the officer asking Hill to keep his window down. Despite this, the incident escalated when Hill did not comply.

As the officer asked Hill to exit his vehicle, the wide receiver responded, "I'm gonna get out, I'm gonna get out." When the officer opened the door and removed Hill, the receiver said, "I'm getting out!" Another officer then grabbed Hill by the back of the head and neck area and forced him to the pavement to put him in handcuffs.

After about 25 minutes, Hill was released and his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, arrived. Hill then told officers he would "see y'all in court" before getting back into his vehicle.

On Wednesday, Hill and his attorneys reiterated their call for Torres to be fired in a team press conference.

"He gotta go man," Hill said. "Because he treated me and my teammates with disrespect, using crazy words toward them for no reason. What did they do to him? They were just walking on the sidewalk. He gotta go."

Several arguments have been sparked over whether the police officer or Hill acted incorrectly following the incident.

Stephen A. Smith argued that while Hill should not be fully blamed, the police's use of excessive force cannot be justified.

"Smith stated on "First Take" Tuesday that we cannot fully absolve Tyreek Hill based solely on the police department's statement in Florida."

"They accused him of being uncooperative. We have a duty to ensure that we do everything we can to save lives and make sure that we are doing everything we can to ensure that you can continue to fight and live another day. We know that they were wrong. The police were excessive. There are no excuses. They should be ashamed of themselves for their actions. They went too far. This is completely true."

Charles Barkley, a former NBA star, appeared on Fox Sports 910 in Phoenix and criticized the media for emphasizing Hill's race while covering the incident.

"Barkley expressed his dislike for the media's tendency to focus on race when discussing the situation, stating that there are many journalists who enjoy playing the race card. He pointed out that the same thing had happened to Scottie Scheffler, and he urged caution before jumping to conclusions."

Hill stated on Wednesday that he will not protest during the national anthem for Dolphins games and will not advocate for police to be defunded. The practice of kneeling during the national anthem to protest police brutality and racial injustice gained traction in the NFL during the 2016 and 2017 seasons, with Colin Kaepernick leading the movement.

"The star wide receiver stated, "I won't mix the two, as I previously mentioned. I won't take a knee, ask to defund the police, or protest.""
