During the 2024 election season, The Independent Women’s Voice and Riley Gaines aim to keep American candidates running for federal office accountable.

On Wednesday, the group unveiled the Riley Gaines Stand with Women Scorecard, a resource that enables voters to determine each candidate's stance on legislation that safeguards women's rights and maintains private spaces for women.

Gaines stated in a Planet Chronicle Digital interview that he receives daily messages from athletes, mostly girls, who are competing against men in their respective sports categories. He finds this situation both insane and heartbreaking, as it reflects poorly on our nation and the people who govern us.

Why isn't Congress taking action to safeguard female athletes' rights in sports, despite over 70% of the American population believing that men don't belong in women's sports? Congress has had several chances this year to pass a federal law protecting women's sports, but we still don't have one. While many elected leaders have taken action, it's not enough.

"I am proud to have collaborated with Independent Women’s Voice to develop the Stand with Women Scorecard, which allows Americans to evaluate their elected officials and candidates for federal office based on their stance on women's rights. The Scorecard is straightforward: candidates either support women's rights or they do not. I wish I had access to such a tool when my sex-based rights were violated at a swim meet, and I hope it will make a difference now to prevent girls and women from losing their rights in the false narrative of inclusion."

The scorecard was launched by Gaines, the host of OutKick's "Gaines for Girls" podcast, and Independent Women's Voice.

Tulsi Gabbard, a former Hawaii congresswoman, joined the "Gaines for Girls" podcast to assist Gaines in revealing the resource.

Gabbard lamented that our elected leaders may not prioritize the well-being of children, who are the most vulnerable members of society.

"It is not safe to assume that politicians who advocate for women and equality in various aspects of life and sports are hypocrites when it comes to the issue of biological males competing against biological females in sports, which contradicts the purpose of Title IX and the progress made by women and girls over the past five decades."

Gabbard stated that she believed there were Democrats running for office who would be "terrified" of their constituents discovering their stance on the issue.

The tool provides a scorecard that indicates whether a candidate is standing with women, has Gaines' seal of approval, or is still unknown. It also includes a "battle box" to give a simple answer between two candidates.

The scorecard has three factors that will contribute to their approved score.

In order to receive an approved score, a candidate either signed the Stand with Women Commitment or publicly declared their support for female-only sports and recognized the disparities between males and females.

Incumbents who backed the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act or voted to repeal the current administration's Title IX rewrite will receive an approved score.

Incumbent senators who receive an approved score must have co-sponsored the Congressional Review Act or voted for a floor vote on the Protections of Women and Girls in sports Act.

Currently, men are taking part in women's sports, usurping roster positions and accolades from females," Gaines stated in a video uploaded to the organization's website. "What led to this situation?

The unique achievements of women should be recognized and safeguarded, but an alarming number of leaders are falling short. This constitutes a genuine battle for women's rights.

It is crucial for every American to be aware of those who support women and those who do not.
