In a PGA Tour-LIV Golf showdown, Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy go up against Bryson DeChambeau and Brooks Koepka.
In December, TNT will broadcast the match.
This year, a made-for-TV match will feature four of the PGA Tour and LIV Golf's biggest stars, marking the first time the two tours will face off.
In December, Golfweek reported that Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy will face off against Bryson DeChambeau and Brooks Koepka in a primetime event on TNT in Las Vegas.
For the first time since the Saudi-backed circuit drew away some of the PGA Tour's biggest names, the pros will compete against one another in an event.
"McIlroy expressed excitement about partnering with Scottie in a December golf tournament against Bryson and Brooks in Las Vegas. He stated that the event was not just a competition between major champions but an opportunity to entertain fans and contribute to a charitable cause."
The PGA Tour is still working to negotiate a deal with the Saudi Public Investment Fund as a minority investor in a commercial arm of the Tour called PGA Tour Enterprises, and details of the match have not been confirmed yet.
No deal is close, and it would still be subject to review by the U.S. Department of Justice.
The tensions between the two circuits have decreased since the deal plans were announced in June 2023. However, it seems that there is still no resolution for LIV players to return to PGA Tour events.
Last week, the PGA Tour announced that competitors who participate in LIV are still ineligible for tour events for one year following their last appearance.
