Caitlin Clark breaks WNBA rookie single-season scoring record with 35 points.
Game 110-109 was won by Fever.
In the final home game of the regular season, Caitlin Clark set another WNBA rookie record with her impressive shooting display, leading the Indiana Fever to a 110-109 victory over the Dallas Wings.
In her first season with the Minnesota Lynx, Seimone Augustus set the WNBA record for most points scored by a rookie, with 744 points. This year, Clark surpassed that mark with a career-high 35 points.
Clark had 761 points as Indiana won, shooting 10 of 22 from the field with six 3-pointers. He broke the rookie record on a 3-pointer and had eight assists and three steals.
At halftime, Clark and Kelsey Mitchell each had 15 points. Mitchell ended up with 30 points, while Aliyah Boston had 15 points, six rebounds, and six assists.
The Fever held a one-point lead at the end of the third quarter, after the teams traded baskets and Dallas had Indiana on the ropes for most of the game.
In the fourth quarter, Clark took over and went on a 7-0 run by herself, giving the Fever a nine-point lead. The ability to turn the game around on a dime proved to be the difference-maker.
Despite Satou Sabally, Arike Ogunbowale, and Natasha Howard each scoring at least 20 points, it wasn't enough.
Despite being eliminated from postseason contention, Dallas will end the season on the road against the Las Vegas Aces next week.
The Washington Mystics await Indiana on the road, as the latter has one more game scheduled.
