A grand slam by Aaron Judge at Yankee Stadium sends the crowd into a frenzy against the Red Sox.
Judge ended his longest home run drought.
On Friday night, a single swing of the bat by Aaron Judge brought Yankee Stadium to its feet.
In the seventh inning, with the bases loaded and no one in the bottom, the former MVP and Yankee captain helped the team trail the Red Sox 4-1.
The Yankees took a 5-4 lead over Boston in the first two games of the series, with Judge hitting a home run that left the crowd in awe.
The stadium crowd roared in jubilation as the fans celebrated their beloved player's triumph over their most despised foes.
Judge's home run drought was finally broken during the grand slam on Friday night, after 16 straight games without one. This was the longest streak of his career and came during what has been arguably his best hitting season yet.
Judge hit his 52nd home run of the season, boosting his average to .321 and increasing his OPS to 1.143 while accumulating 130 RBI.
Before hitting two home runs against the Colorado Rockies on Aug. 26, the six-time All-Star was hitting .204 (11 for 54) with 22 strikeouts in his net 15 games.
During his rookie season in 2017, Judge did not hit a home run in 15 games from Aug. 17 through Sept. 2, marking the longest homerless streak of his career.
Judge had been on a hot streak, hitting nine home runs in 10 games, leading people to speculate if he could break his own American League record of 62 home runs in 2022.
Currently, Judge is leading the way to win his second American League MVP award in three years.
