Women unite in a collective 'primal scream' following Trump's election: 'Let go of our suffering'
The 'primal scream' was intended to relieve 'pain and frustration'
Video captures women in Wisconsin shouting in unison towards Lake Michigan after Vice President Harris loses to President-elect Trump on Nov. 5.
A Facebook user named Tamara Gibbs originally posted the footage that recently went viral on social media. The event occurred at Klode Park in Whitefish Bay on Nov. 9.
The video depicts approximately two dozen adult women shrieking at the water, with their screams gradually intensifying until they eventually cease.
"Gathering at Klode Park in Whitefish Bay for a Primal Scream to release pain and frustration after the election, as seen in Gibbs' Facebook post. Trump supporters proudly waved their flag on top of the hill."
The MPD thanked the Whitefish Bay resident for their support, but the department clarified that Whitefish Bay falls outside their jurisdiction.
Gibbs posted a video of women gathered in a circle, trying to lift their spirits following the election.
"We have the chance to regain the legislature in two years, and we should begin organizing now," the woman said to thunderous applause.
The "primal scream" event occurred several days after Trump won the election by a large margin, with the Republican leader winning all battleground states, including Wisconsin.
The recent video mirrors the infamous footage of protesters shouting at the sky after Trump's victory in 2016. The protests were mainly orchestrated by Refuse Fascism.
An organizer from Refuse Fascism stated that their demonstrations exhibited "solidarity and unity."
Eva Sahana stated to Patch.com in 2017, "We are screaming in rage and pain, but we are also screaming in unity and solidarity because we have a plan and a way forward."
Another member of Refuse Fascism who organized a 2017 demonstration in Philadelphia compared their screaming to "a pack of wolves."
"Samantha Goldman stated, "Instead of screaming helplessly at the sky, we want to scream as a pack of wolves to take down the administration.""
Gibbs did not respond to Planet Chronicle Digital's request for comment.
