On Tuesday, New York City Mayor Eric Adams announced that his administration has been collaborating with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to remove illegal criminal migrants from the city.

Despite the city's sanctuary city laws, federal agencies will handle migrants who commit violent crimes in the Big Apple, as stated by Adams, a Democrat.

Adams stated that there is ample space and his administration already collaborates with federal partners, when questioned about the possibility of working with ICE while adhering to the sanctuary city law's restrictions on cooperation with federal immigration authorities.

""I made it clear that the law is clear of criminality and that people who commit violent crimes must be addressed, even before the elections," Adams said."

Since 2022, more than 225,000 illegal immigrants have flocked to New York City under the Biden administration, resulting in a surge in migrant-related crime and the establishment of the bloodthirsty Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua in the city.

On Monday, President Trump pledged to put an end to illegal immigration and deport "millions and millions of criminal aliens" during his inauguration speech.

The NYPD will continue to collaborate with ICE in its deportation efforts, as stated by the mayor.

"The NYPD has no limitations on coordinating with task forces to combat crime," Adams stated.

"There are no limitations. No changes have occurred. We will continue to work with our federal partners in addressing illegal behaviors," he stated. "I have been clear for over a year and a half now, those who commit violent crimes in our city have violated their right to be in our city and in our country. We will continue to collaborate with those around criminality."

On "America Reports" on Tuesday, border "czar" Tom Homan announced that ICE has started the process of removing some migrants.

As of today, ICE teams have been given direction to prioritize public safety threats that we are looking for. As a result, we have been working on creating a target list.

Trump declared a national border emergency on Monday and signed several executive orders to reduce illegal immigration, including canceling the CBP One app, which was launched in 2020 to schedule appointments at U.S. entry points.

Trump instructed government agencies to resume the Migrant Protection Protocols (MPP), also known as the Remain-in-Mexico policy, which had been abolished by the Biden administration during Trump's first term. This policy mandated that migrants remain in Mexico throughout their asylum proceedings.

U.S. Northern Command directed troops to be deployed to the border to prioritize U.S. border and territorial integrity in strategic planning.

President Trump designated international cartels and organizations, including MS-13 and the bloodthirsty Tren de Aragua, as Foreign Terrorist Organizations (FTOs) and Specially Designated Global Terrorists (SDGT). This designation enables targeted action against members, including financial penalties.

An executive order was signed by him, ending birthright citizenship for the offspring of undocumented immigrants.
