While Joe Biden was Vice President, Hunter Biden sought help from the State Department for a foreign company, according to a report.
The Younger is facing allegations of using his father's political influence to further his business goals.
It is reported that while President Biden was serving as vice president, Hunter Biden sought government assistance for a profitable energy project in Italy, raising suspicions that he leveraged his father's political status for his foreign business dealings.
In 2016, the younger Biden wrote at least one letter to the U.S. ambassador to Italy seeking assistance for the Ukrainian gas company Burisma, where he was a board member, according to newly released records and interviews cited by the New York Times.
Officials were hesitant to assist the son of a sitting vice president in a request for a foreign company, resulting in a lukewarm response.
The official stated that U.S.G. should not actively advocate with the Italian government on behalf of a Ukrainian company until it has gone through the D.O.C. Advocacy Center for protection purposes.

A Commerce Department official in the U.S. Embassy in Rome cautioned about making too many promises.
Biden's lawyer, Abbe Lowell, stated that Hunter Biden sought an introduction between Burisma and the president of the Tuscany region of Italy, where Burisma was pursuing a geothermal project.
He said no meeting had occurred.
"No meeting took place, no project came to fruition, no request for anything in the U.S. was ever made, and only an introduction in Italy was requested."
Lowell stated that Biden's outreach was a "proper request" in a statement to the Times.
The White House stated that President Biden was unaware that his son contacted the U.S. Embassy in Italy regarding Burisma while he was vice president.
Despite allegations, Hunter Biden has not been accused of violating the Foreign Agents Registration Act, which mandates disclosure when lobbying the U.S. government on behalf of foreign interests.
The State Department and the White House have been contacted by Planet Chronicle Digital.
