Wealthy Florida county sees arrest of illegal immigrants for child sexual crimes.
Between August and October of 2024, alleged crimes were committed.
Last week, three undocumented individuals were apprehended in a prosperous Florida district for committing sexual offenses against a minor, law enforcement officials stated.
On Friday, three suspects from Honduras who were in the country illegally were arrested by the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office.
On Monday, the sheriff's office named the suspects as Selvin Lopez Lopez, Erick Lopez Lopez, and Jesersson Lopez Lopez. The sheriff's office did not disclose if they are related.
The Lopez Lopez trio was arrested for multiple charges of lewd and lascivious behavior, capital sexual battery, and molesting a minor under 12 years old, according to the sheriff's office.
From August 2024 until their arrest last week, the "despicable behavior" occurred.
In 2021, Selvin and Erick Lopez Lopez unlawfully entered the U.S. and surrendered to Border Patrol. Despite being instructed to schedule a court date, they failed to do so, according to the sheriff's office.
In 2023, Jesersson was accused of crossing the border illegally and was scheduled for a court appearance in 2028.
The three Lopez Lopezes are currently being detained in the Palm Beach County Jail without bail, according to the sheriff's office.
