Video shows New Jersey woman nearly bitten by tiger after climbing into zoo enclosure
An unidentified woman nearly suffered injuries after allegedly enticing a tiger in Bridgeton, according to police.
A woman is being sought by New Jersey police after being caught on video climbing into a tiger enclosure at the Cohanzick Zoo in Bridgeton. The incident occurred when the unidentified woman scaled a wooden fence to reach the tiger. In the video, it appears as though the woman reached out to the tiger before the animal lunged at her hand.
The video then shows the same woman darting back over the fence and leaving the enclosure. The tiger paced near the fence at her departure.
"Do not climb over the fence. It is against city ordinance 247-C," read a sign posted outside the tiger enclosure. "Anyone with information on the identity or whereabouts of the as-yet unidentified woman is asked to contact police," read a sign posted outside the tiger enclosure.
