The boy charged with felony murder in the deaths of four at Apalachee High School in Winder spoke face-to-face with sheriff's officers in Jackson County, Georgia. However, the public defender representing both Colin and Colt Gray did not respond to Planet Chronicle' request for comment.
The sheriff's officers' interactions with suspect Colt Gray on May 21, 2023, were captured on footage, following a tip from the FBI about a threat on the Discord messaging app, which is commonly used by video gamers.
A startled Colin Gray, wearing only underwear and a t-shirt, greets police officers who are knocking on his home.
Colin inquires if he can dress before the interview begins, as the officers state that they are investigating a complaint and initially visited his previous residence.
Colin reappears dressed in clothes, apologizes for the delay, and says he was watching a golf tournament as police ask him if he has a son.
Colin warns that Colt will become "all red-faced" when the officers question him about their reason for the visit.
Colin revealed more about Gray's home life and the accusation during police questioning, describing the visit as "bulls---" and a terrorist threat.

Colin remains composed as he discusses Colt's background with the officers, revealing that he has faced challenges. He discloses that he and Colt's mother divorced, and they were forced to leave their home.
Colin explained that at first, his son struggled with the separation. He takes him to Jefferson Middle school and he's been doing really well.
Gray stated that Colt simply wants a peaceful existence, despite the challenges he faced in school. He should be thrilled about entering eighth grade, but instead, he struggled with bullying and constant harassment.
Colin alleges that he has visited the school numerous times, accuses other children of touching his son, and asserts that Colt wished to leave the school district.
Colin discusses the significance of gun safety after stating that he frequently experiences being picked on.
The officer inquires, "Do you possess any weapons in your home?"
"I do," Colin says.
"Are they accessible," the officer then asks.
"Colin says, "They are not loaded, but they do a lot of shooting and deer hunting. He shot his first deer this year. I'm in shock and pissed off to be honest.""
Colin says, "I'm a little taken aback by the whole thing, but I can assure you that I take it very seriously, as does he."
""
"Get him away from the video game," the officer responds.
"Colin confirms that the photo on his phone depicts him with blood on his cheeks after shooting his first deer. He declares it as the greatest day ever."
Colin emphasized that it was a shock to hear what was being told to him, and he urged whoever was communicating with him to convey the seriousness of the situation. He emphasized that it was not a joke.
"We wouldn't be here," the officer said.
"Yes, I understand, and I'm telling you right now that we often discuss school shootings and other incidents. Yes, I know you're being picked on at school. And, is everything okay? That's why I keep going up there. No, you never really know, and I don't want anything to happen to him, so." Colin finished.
Colt, wearing a blue t-shirt, sweatpants, and a blue hat, joins the officers on the porch.
Colin tells his son that these guys are trustworthy and will provide accurate information.
Colt fidgets with his hands in his pockets while answering the officers' questions. He avoids eye contact with the officers and insists that he did not make a threat to shoot up the school, claiming that they must have misheard somebody else.
The officer appears to believe Colt, and they even chuckle about individuals deceiving law enforcement.
Colt Gray, now 14, was identified by authorities as the shooter who killed two students and two teachers at Apalachee High School. After surrendering, he was taken into custody and is being tried as an adult.
Colin Gray, 54, father of Colt, has been charged with four counts of involuntary manslaughter, two counts of second-degree murder, and eight counts of cruelty to children.
