Trump responds to Arizona manhunt for suspect accused of threatening him: "It's a perilous profession."
Police arrested Ronald Lee Syvrud, 66, on Thursday without any incidents.
An Arizona man who allegedly threatened to kill former President Trump was the subject of a manhunt launched by law enforcement officials on Thursday.
A spokesperson for the Cochise County Sheriff's Office confirmed to Planet Chronicle Digital that Ronald Lee Syvrud, 66, of Benson, was arrested on Thursday without any incidents.
Did the threats against him prompt Trump to alter his event approach, as asked by Planet Chronicle senior correspondent Alicia Acuna?
"I've heard about that. However, I must fulfill my responsibilities," he stated. "It's a task. It's a perilous task, but I must complete it."
The sheriff's office in Cochise County is in "close contact" with Trump's team, as stated by public information officer Carol Capas to Planet Chronicle Digital.
Syrvud, a 66-year-old individual, made threatening posts on social media directed at Trump over a two-day period, as previously confirmed by Capas.
Outstanding warrants for DUI and failure to appear for DUI exist in Wisconsin for Syvrud, as well as in Graham County, Arizona, for hit-and-run and felony failure to register as a sex offender, according to authorities.
Additional charges against Syvrud are pending.
On Thursday, Trump's visit to a battleground state had a "Make America Safe Again" theme, coinciding with Vice President Kamala Harris's expected Democratic National Convention acceptance speech.
This week, Trump has journeyed to Pennsylvania, Michigan, and North Carolina and will conduct events in Las Vegas and the Phoenix suburb of Glendale on Friday.
Planet Chronicle Digital has reached out to the Trump campaign for comment.
