Trump assassination attempt: Whistleblowers allege inadequate security preparation.
Agents allegedly received inadequate training, according to whistleblowers.
According to whistleblowers, Secret Service personnel are "inadequately prepared" and lack sufficient training to safeguard candidates, including former President Trump, as claimed in new allegations regarding the assassination attempt on the Republican presidential nominee.
On "Jesse Watters Primetime" Tuesday night, Hawley disclosed that whistleblowers have claimed that HSI agents who were reassigned to work on protective details only received a two-hour webinar on Microsoft Teams as their training.
Allegedly, whistleblowers claimed that the pre-recorded videos contained numerous technical errors.
"According to a whistleblower, 1,000 people logged onto Microsoft Teams simultaneously after being informed at the last minute that they needed to log in individually. Once the instructor started the prerecorded videos, they couldn't figure out how to get the audio working. They had to restart the videos approximately six times. Unfortunately, the content was not helpful."
The whistleblowers alleged that the two-hour webinars have not been updated since the assassination attempt on Trump on July 13.
One whistleblower informed Hawley that there have been no new developments or improvements since the assassination attempt on former President Trump.
The agents who worked the July 13 Trump rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, informed Hawley's office that they only received one PowerPoint presentation for training.
The government agency was criticized by the Missouri senator for their "terrible" management of the assassination attempt that shocked the country.
Hawley stated that this is a nightmare, and the only reason we are aware of this information is due to whistleblowers.
The HSI agent's lack of training and preparation was revealed through allegations following Hawley's office's communication with whistleblowers about the Trump rally shooting and how Thomas Matthew Crooks was able to gain access to the AGR building rooftop with an AR-15 rifle.
Previously, Hawley's office asserted that the lead site agent was inexperienced and incompetent.
"Hawley previously stated in an interview on "Jesse Watters Primetime" that the lead agent, who was known to be inexperienced, ineffective, and incompetent, was not enforcing the normal security protocols on the day in question, according to whistleblowers."
"Most of the agents present that day were Homeland Security agents, not Secret Service agents, as Hawley clarified."
