In 2018, a 17-year-old TikToker from Florida, who posted videos of himself driving his BMW sports car at high speeds, crashed into the back of a small SUV, killing six farmworkers who were leaving their shift.

According to local reports, the crash in Palm Beach County was one of the county's deadliest road traffic incidents.

On Monday, Noah Galle, now 20, reached a plea deal with prosecutors and was sentenced to 12 and a half years in prison after pleading guilty to six counts of vehicular homicide.

Liz Parker, a former traffic homicide prosecutor and the defense attorney of Craig Galle's son, read out a statement of remorse prepared by the latter, according to The Palm Beach Post.

Galle was able to avoid trial and potentially receive a minimum 55-year sentence or a maximum of 90 years in prison, as consecutive sentences for each count are rarely imposed by the courts unless a defendant has a significant prior record of crimes, according to a spokesperson for West Palm Beach Chief Assistant State Attorney Al Johnson.

The deal was fair, as stated by Johnson, and it was supported by the family members of the victims.

What is the appropriate punishment in a tragic case like this? Johnson stated via Planet Chronicle Digital.

"No amount of time in prison can bring back the victims to their families. Some of the families wrote to us that they did not object to the plea, with one even requesting that we drop the case entirely."

Johnson stated that the fact that Calle was 17 at the time of the crime and had no prior legal history made it significant.

"We feel this is an appropriate resolution."

On January 27, 2022, at approximately 11 p.m., Galle was driving his BMW M5 at a dangerous speed of 151 mph on State Road 7 near Delray Beach, despite the speed limit being 55 mph. As a result, he collided with an SUV that had six passengers inside, causing significant damage.

The SUV, which had six occupants, rolled over several times after swerving into the median. Tragically, five of the six passengers were killed instantly, while the remaining one passed away later.

The SUV driver, Mirlane Julceus, 45, and her passengers, including Michel Louis Saint, 77, Marie Michelle Louis, 60, Remzie Michel, 53, Filaine Dieu, 46, and Vanice Percina, 29, were killed in a crash.

At the time of the wreck, the six victims were exiting Pero Family Farms on State Road 7 near Atlantic Avenue.

Galle remained silent as he exited the courtroom, according to WPEC. He was accompanied by his father and lawyers during his entrance and departure.

According to WPEC, he will have to serve a minimum of 85% of his prison sentence and the sentence will be followed by seven years' probation. Additionally, his driver's license will be revoked for three years.

Galle agreed to turn himself in on Feb. 3.

Galle must share his story and advocate for safe driving on social media, complete 800 hours of community service, attend a panel where crash victims share their stories, and complete a 12-hour driving course as part of his sentence, according to The Palm Beach Post.
