Thomas Matthew Crooks, the would-be assassin of President Trump, is the subject of increasing scrutiny.
The guidance counselor of the 20-year-old from Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, stated that Crooks was not a threat to society and had no impact.
According to Jim Knapp, the local TV station, Crooks were never known to cause trouble in school or utilize any mental health resources.
Knapp stated that their conversations with him were always respectful, alert, and in tune, resulting in a general good vibe.
A YouTube video shows that Crooks graduated from Bethel Park High School in 2022.
Knapp retired from the school the same year he first began working with Crooks, who was a sophomore at the school at the time. The two would only meet once or twice a year, according to Knapp, because Crooks did not require any special attention.
"Thomas was an intelligent young man who took AP, honor, and college prep courses, according to Knapp. He was very quiet and went about his business."
The attempted assassination of Trump at a rally in Butler was "gut-wrenching," according to Knapp.
"Knapp stated, "I truly believe this young man has snapped. Evil exists, and it has consumed him.""
An outcast who was always alone and bullied every day, Jason Kohler, a former classmate, described Crooks to Planet Chronicle.
Kohler disclosed to reporters that Crooks was frequently mocked for his attire, which frequently consisted of "hunting outfits," during lunchtime when he sat alone.
Two months ago, a degree in engineering was earned by the crooks from a community college in the area.
According to a search by Planet Chronicle Digital, Crooks would have turned 21 years old in September. He had no reported criminal record or traffic citations.
According to voting records, Crooks was a registered Republican, but he only voted in the Nov. 8, 2022, state election because of his age.
