The real estate agent, who is now a suspect in the murder of his clients, was apprehended by their son at gunpoint, according to police.
North Carolina homicides resulted in 3 murder charges for David Lever.
A Greenville-based real estate agent was arrested by North Carolina authorities while they were investigating a triple homicide and four different crime scenes.
According to the Pitt County Sheriff's Office, David Hansen Lever, 55, has been charged with three counts of murder in connection to the homicides. The son of two of the victims held him at gunpoint after police arrested Lever.
On January 10th, detectives discovered the three homicide victims who had been shot.
The sheriff's office stated in a Saturday press release that the preliminary investigation has revealed that the incidents are related, although this is an ongoing investigation.
The three victims of the crime were a married couple, Tony Gribble, 80, and Paula Gribble, 76, as well as 64-year-old Enrique Reyes. It is unclear how Lever is connected to Reyes, but the Gribbles used Lever as their real estate agent when they bought their home in 2014, according to WITN.
Their son, TD Gribble, informed WCTI that tonight's meal was supposed to be Sunday dinner, but it did not occur.
During a Monday press conference, Sheriff Paula Dance stated that if the Gribbles' son had not held Lever at gunpoint, he may have killed more victims, as reported by WITN.
Dance reportedly discovered more than 50 weapons in Lever's home, including firearms and ammunition in his van, according to WITN.
